L'intérieur de la Kaaba

Située à La Mecque, en Arabie saoudite, la Kaaba est appelée Bayt Allah ou « Maison d’Allah ». Cette dernière se trouve au centre de Masjid Al Haram ou la grande mosquée de La Mecque. Elle est la qibla des musulmans pour la prière. Il s’agit de la direction que doit se diriger le croyant pour effectuer la salat.

Une question peut nous trotter dans la tête : qu’est-ce qu’il y a l’intérieur de la Kaaba ? On se rappelle dans le film de Mustapha Akkad où le Prophète Mohamed saws y entra pour purifier la maison des fausses divinités sous forme de statuts après la prise de La Mecque.

Bref historique de la Kaaba

Cette ouvrage a été réalisée par le prophète Ibrahim et son fils Ismaël (que la paix soit sur eux). Il fut d’abord consacré au monothéisme. Puis, les gens l’ont voué au polythéisme avec plus de 350 divinités.

Lors de la prise de La Mecque en l’an 630, un hadith raconte le retour du monothéisme avec le Prophète Mohamed saws. Il est dit selon ce hadith rapporté par Jabir (qu’Allah l’agréé) :

« Nous sommes entrés à Makkah avec le Messager d’Allah (saws), et dans la Maison ou autour d’elle, il y avait 360 idoles qu’on adorait au lieu d’Allah. Le Messager d’Allah (saws) commanda que ces idoles soient toutes renversées sur leurs visages, puis il dit :

« La Vérité (l’Islam) est venue et l’Erreur a disparu. Car l’Erreur est destinée à disparaître (S17, V81). » ».

D’après l’avis de la majorité des historiens, le Prophète Mohamed saws a prié à l’intérieur de l’édifice. Cela est rapporté par un hadith d’Ibn Omar (qu’Allah l’agréé).

L’intérieur de la Kaaba

Réalisé en pierres, la Kaaba est une structure sous forme cubique. Elle mesure près de 13 mètres de hauteur, avec des côtés mesurant plus de 10 mètres. À l’intérieur de la Kaaba, le marbre occupe le plancher. Les parois à l’intérieur sont revêtues de marbre blanc carrelé à mi-chemin du toit, avec des garnitures plus sombres le long du sol.

Le plancher de la structure se situe à plus de 2 mètres au-dessus du sol extérieur où le tawaf est effectué.

 

Le mur en face à l’entrée de la Kaaba possède sept tableaux accrochées. Ces tableaux qui sont tout le long du mur ont des inscriptions. Il existe également d’autres tableaux accrochés sur les autres murs.

On peut voir trois piliers soutenant le plafond avec un petit autel entre 2 piliers. Des lanternes sont suspendus grâce à une tige rigide. Le Bab at-Tawbah ou la porte du repentir est situé sur le mur droit. Il ouvre sur un escalier qui mène à une trappe, elle-même ouverte sur le toit. Le toit et le plafond sont en bois de teck recouvert d’acier inoxydable.

 

La structure fait moins de 200 mètres carrés. La Pierre noire se trouve à l’extérieur. D’ailleurs, il existe une anecdote à ce sujet : la dispute autour de la Pierre Noire.
